Dr. Anthony Pirie completed his undergraduate studies at Villa Maria College, obtaining his license to work as a physical therapy assistant. He then went on to earn his doctorate degree in chiropractic at the prestigious New York Chiropractic College.
Dr. Anthony’s background in athletic injury rehabilitation led him to pursue certifications focused on soft tissue recovery. These include Graston therapy, Mckenzie protocol, kinesiotaping, & Russian kettlebell challenge certification.
A native of upstate New York, Dr. Anthony played competitive rugby & hockey growing up. He soon developed a passion for barbell training & olympic lifting, eventually pushing himself to compete in strongman powerlifting competitions. Over the past decade he has truly found a passion for coaching, helping to develop athletes in the sport of powerlifting & compete at every level.
Dr. Anthony believes that training & rehabilitation are essentially the same thing, but just have different starting points. He uses strength & mobility training as a means of injury prevention – addressing not just the symptoms, but the root cause of the problem.
